 Suicide is a leading cause of death in the US, including among teens, and it has only gotten worse with the pandemic. Too many teens are at risk when having to spend time in unsafe homes and facing cyberbullying, and not seeing trained educators in a position to see them and help them. Preventing Suicide Is Possible

 It is not possible to absolutely predict suicide with certainty because of that were the case it would not be the large issue it is today. However there are signs, there are certain groups of people that are more at risk, and when these things are understood suicide prevention is more likely.   What are the risks? Suicide is a leading cause of death in the US and is not just something to look for in adults. Teens and youths are also seeing an increase in suicidal thoughts, self-destructive behaviour, attempting suicide and suicide. While it is seen in people who are mentally ill, it is not only in those who are diagnosed with such issues. What Can Parents Do If Their Teens Are Bullies?

 There is a link between the increase in bullying and the rise in youth suicide attempts and successes. It is a particular concern amongst the LGBT community. Teens who are (or are perceived to be) different in terms of sexuality or gender face a lot of problems, at best disdain, but at worse physical and mental attacks, not just at school but also at home via cyberbullying too. Many of these teens think suicide is the only answer.
