Heading for your Holidays to the Isle of Wight!

If you are planning the next school break, or you just want to get away with a friend or partner somewhere that has a lot to do and see, as well as opportunities to relax, then you might want to think of Isle of Wight holidays as a great option. Lots of outdoor and indoor things to do no matter the weather, and lots of choices in accommodation too. Here are four fun things to do on the Isle of Wight.

Sandown pier and amusements

One of the most popular places when you visit the Isle of Wight, is Sandown, with its pier, shops, restaurants, amusements, water sports, beaches and more. Fun can be had for everyone, from the youngest to the oldest of visitors! Enjoy the rides like the Go-Kart, the Bumper and the Giant slide, look out at the sea while eating some great fish and chips or freshly fried doughnuts, play on the amusements, enjoy lots of novelty shops, check out local artists and their work and find something unique to bring home.

Paragliding adventure!

If you are looking for some thrills how about enjoying a paragliding adventure at the Butterfly Paragliding School during your Isle of Wight holidays. It provides all the equipment along with professional instructors to ensure you learn how to do it safely first on the flight simulator. Then when you are ready you can go out paragliding. Up in the sky looking down at the people and the beauty of the island, the salty sea air in your face. Amazing!

Enjoy everything the beaches have to offer

The beaches on the island are another great reason to visit, and those at Sandown are the most popular and best to see. Let your small ones dig in the sand, have a picnic, enjoy the sun, let them swim safely. You can easily spend every day down on the beach spending not a lot of money and having a great time. Mix it up with some of the amusements and rides mentioned, go sailing, or find one of the quieter beaches and appreciate the beauty.

Needles Park

Visit Isle of Wight and come to Needles Park, it is an awesome day out for the family. See the amazing landmark stretching out to sea. Enjoy them from a boat ride, or from shore, or take a deep breath and get on the world-famous chairlift to enjoy them and the rest of the scenery. As well as the dramatic coastline to see there is a mix of different rides suited to all ages and levels of bravery! There is also a sweet manufactory to visit, a fun 4D cinema experience as well as the great sand shop! The perfect place to take a picnic, or there are a few food and drink options on-site, including a casual dining restaurant, cafe and tearoom. Enjoy locally sourced and produced foods and drinks while you take in the Needles.
