Options when you Need Tooth Whitening Treatment
One of the most common reasons people head to a dentist is to have their teeth whitened. It has become an important thing to have in today's' society. That white, attractive smile. You can achieve things like this teeth whitening before and after UK. There are several options and each has different costs, the time it takes, and how effective the treatment is.
Professional laser or LED treatment
Certainly the quickest option, and the most effective but also the most expensive. LED teeth whitening means having a gel applied at the dentist to your teeth and then a light is used to activate the crystals in it that absorb that heat and have a whitening effect. You get immediate results.
Bleaching
Dentists can also choose to use bleaching methods instead of LED. A solution is used on your teeth using a tray. The whitening effect is not quite as obvious as LED and the effect can wear off so there is usually some requirement for the patient to have follow up visits. Sometimes a couple is enough, sometimes more.
Bonding and veneers
Another option with your dentist is to choose bonding or veneers. These are moulded over your teeth and hide the chips, stains and imperfections. It takes a couple of visits at least to get it made and done but if you cannot do other options for teeth whitening for any reason, you can hide them instead. Whitening trays for the home
You can get whitening trays a couple of ways now. The dentist can provide you with a home tray treatment that is not quite as effective as doing it in their office, but if done diligently can have great results. This is more affordable than in-office treatment. There are some products on the market that you can get too from off the shelves at pharmacies and such. These are even cheaper.
Strips and whitening toothpaste
If LED teeth whitening is not something you can afford, there are strips and toothpaste, but the results vary and depend on your use of them. Toothpaste is not going to do much as there just isn't a long enough time in contact with them. The strips can work but as they don't cover the teeth properly it can lead to whitening happening unevenly.
