So, you’re interested in rejuvenating yourself, and maybe spinning a little bit of time in luxury, being made to feel a little younger and a little better. Obviously, saunas, massages and other therapeutic things are quite popular as a source of this. But, what are the advantages of an infrared sauna, and working find a good massage in Brick?

This is a bit of an eclectic set of questions, as the to only have a handful of things in common, but I can say that in Point Pleasant, you have a great many choices when it comes to things like a sauna, and it’s not hard to get a good massage in Brick, if you are willing to do the right research.

But, what exactly is an infrared sauna, and you really want to bother with an infrared sauna in Point Pleasant, when you could get a traditional sauna experience, or even a steam room experience?

Steam rooms and saunas aren’t the same thing…

So, that’s something we have to point out first of all. While steam rooms are a type of sauna, not all saunas use steam, and there are a host of reasons why you may not want to use steam. For one, those with breathing difficulties or whom can’t handle humid environments very well, such as myself just to name one individual, steam rooms can actually be rather unpleasant. While they are actually therapeutic for things like congestion, asthma and other blocked-passage issues, some breathing issues are so severe that it could actually be more harmful than helpful. Still others just don’t handle breathing particularly muggy air very well.

There are other forms of sauna, such as simple radiant heat saunas. These are usually, traditionally done through fires, the same heated rocks it also creates steam in steam rooms, or modernly, through infrared. The benefit of infrared is that it is easier to evenly distribute this infrared radiant heat across the body, and it is a lot safer.

What about massage?

This depends on what kind of massage you want, because there are a lot of types of massage, a can find just about any type of massage in Brick. Are your muscles aching? In this case, Swedish or shiatsu might be the best call for you. Is your spine stiff, or your joints? Then something like a traditional full body massage, well, that might just be what the doctor ordered.

Some spot treatments include a multitude of different massages, thus giving you a complete package, though I feel like I should warn you now: some massages are, while being practiced, slightly uncomfortable or even mildly painful. You will feel vastly better when it is done, but don’t expect it always to feel fantastic right away.
