Do I Need A Telephone Line Technician Or An Antenna Installer?

You might be wondering, “why would I need antenna dollars near me in the 21st century?” This is a very justifiable question, and the truth is that you may not. In Australia, however, we find ourselves with a somewhat unique situation. Much of Australia is extremely remote, meaning that something like a telephone line technician or antenna installers are more necessary than they are in some other parts of the world. As a matter of fact, Australia actually shares this in common with one another country, that being, surprisingly enough, Russia, though for very different reasons.

Russia is an extremely vast place, and while most of it is rather green, even Siberia contrary to popular belief, large amounts of that area are unsettled, undeveloped and really difficult to establish a wireless infrastructure like a cellular Internet network for telephone service. In other words, across there, you will run into many places where you just don’t have much in the way of coverage.

Across large swaths of Australia, a similar problem occurs, though it’s not so much landmass as the expansive outback and some challenging terrain that are the culprits here. Along with this, here, the cable infrastructure, something that Russia actually managed to do to more intermittent roads and scattered settlements than in the outback of Australia, isn’t as easy to maintain either.

The prevalence of NBN cable is significant, but some places in the furthest reaches, you might need a satellite dish for Internet, and you might need a telephone line technician to install regular telephone systems, and you might, finally, need a digital antenna installation if you want to receive regular broadcast television. Antenna installation like this is on borrowed time as far as its relevance goes, truth be told, but it’s a long time before satellite and distribution of NBN make streaming that viable for a lot of video, unless you have access to some sort of significant uplink.

Believe it or not, consumption of broadcast media won’t really be dead for a few more decades, not completely. While it will definitely be more of a niche thing, and an acquired taste rather than the standard after another few years, it’s going to be a thing that sticks around for quite some time, so if you are asking yourself “why would I need antenna installers near me” even after this, you are one of the very few lucky people out there in the more remote parts of Australia that has a really solid uplink to the Internet, or happens to be on one of the trunk lines of the NBN system. If you aren’t sure why you need a telephone line technician, you must be very lucky in the fact that you are near one of the more scattered clusters of cellular network ranges, this is something that’s bound to be very rare for some time into the future.

Remember, just because better technologies exist doesn’t mean that those technologies are proliferated yet, things don’t supplant other things instantly or unilaterally, after all.
