Do I really need to do a company check?
When you are looking to hire a new employee, what is one of the first things that you do after initial interviews and looking into their credentials? In most cases, that would be a background check, correct? Even if the position doesn’t require a true legal background check, you will most certainly contact their references, previous employers and so forth to get an idea of what sort of reputation this potential employee has cultivated in the past.
While certainly an onerous task at the best of times, and probably a bit stressful for an employee if they are in a rush to establish income, this is a necessary step, because people are wildcards at the end of the day. You can never truly know what you are getting until you actually look into them. Even then, there’s no guarantee that they will continue to conform to the reputation they previously had, as people change on a dime.
Why, then, would you not want to do the same for doing business with any given company? It doesn’t matter if you plan to patronize their services, work with them in a partnership, or sub- contract them in some way, you should know all about a company before doing business. This will save you a lot of trial and error in finding a company that conforms to your ideals and ethics, and prevents a lot of loss due to companies being a letdown in some tangible, financial way. This is why a Singapore company check or a Hong Kong company check is extremely important.
Why these locations, specifically? Well, it has nothing to do with culture, only with the fact that these are hubs for business. Pretty much every multi-national business has a seat in Singapore or Hong Kong, often both. These autonomous states are dependent on being business subs, as along with tourism, these are their bread and butter. This means that there are a lot of companies present for any given industry here, so you definitely need to do a background check on companies where there is so much competition and so much multi-faceted presence to sift through. It’s all about the numbers, at the end of the day.
Simply looking at places like glassdoor or looking online for customer and peer feedback will suffice when it comes to corporations any more than simply peering at a potential employees social media will give you a true picture of who they are. With a verification company providing a Singapore company check or a Hong Kong company check or China company check investigation can be done far beyond the surface. These companies have quick, experienced access to legal records, financial records and everything in between, allowing them to quickly gain an insight on companies that would be time-consuming at best, and probably inaccurate for you to perform on your own.
Along with experience sifting through and quickset access to this information, experienced analysts in these companies understand the implications of the information. It’s not as intuitive to come to conclusions based on this information as one might think, and business intelligence specialists can make this happen. Before you do business with a company, let a verification company do some digging and find out exactly what this company is all about. Learn about the corporate culture, their ethics and their history. Knowledge, as they say, shall always mean power.
